Stacy for Grimsby
A loyal servant who has just made over 200 starts for the club along with 36 or more sub apperances. Stacy Coldicott, the little bald midfield terrier has earned his way into the legends section.

Stacy came up through the ranks at West Bromwich Albion in 1992. He made his way at The Hawthorns but rarely was counted as a regular. Stacy was among the shed loads of players who have played for The Mariners and West Brom.

In the mid nineties Stace broke through into the main bunch and asserted himself well under Alan Buckley in the 1995/1996 season and the 1996/1997 season. Stacey also made an impression on loan at Cardiff City. He made 6 apperances at Ninian Park in

August 1996.

In July 1998 Coldicott moved to Grimsby for £125,000 to join up with his former boss Alan Buckley. Stacey along with fellow new boy Lee Ashcroft geared up for the new season and tryed to break into a well moulded historic side, drawn up from the previous season.

Coldicott soon found his form at Grimsby and found himself darting around the centre of the park on a regular occasion. Along with the majority of Grimsby midfielders in the late nineties he seemed to get the Mariner Midfielder injury plague.

Stacy suffered a few setbacks with Grimsby but was never knocked back. Stacy has stayed with the club now for 6 seasons and out of the current crop is the second most experienced and long serving player of them all behind John McDermott.

A true legend with Grimsby lets hope there is a few more years left in Coldicott.
