Strong versatile centre back who was brought to the club a few games into the 06/07 season from Doncaster Rovers on a free transfer along with Ricky Ravenhill.

Fenton's journey into professional football started in the 1996/1997 season. With Nick being one of a few new faces promoted from Manchester City's youth setup following there relegation from the Premiership.

Getting a place in the team at Maine Road was hard for Nick and after loan spells with Notts County and Bournemouth he switched to Notts County permanently for £150,000 in November 2000. Fenton went on to make over 150 apperances for the Magpies before moving on a free transfer to Doncaster at the start of the 2004/2005 season.
