Justin Whittle
Talented veteran centre back who rejected long serving rivals Hull City to join up with The Mariners in 2004.

Has acres of experience from his time at Hull and was the captain at the K.C Stadium. Justin was offered a 1 year contract extension by Peter Taylor but as the club had been promoted they were looking for new players from the higher leagues and it was clear he would lose his captaincy and be a regular bench warmer, so he linked up with The Mariners on a years deal instead with regular football a promise from Russell Slade.

A real solid centre back who has been like an energizer bunny even nearing the end of his career however has had some ropey peformances despite in his 3rd season as club captain.

Started off his career playing for the British Royal Army, when he was a soldier, in 1994 he signed for Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic, after a few months at Celtic Park he joined Stoke City on a free transfer in 1994, where he remained until moving to Hull City for £50,000 vin 1998. Whittle remained a Hull defender until his move to Grimsby in 2004.
