A Credit To The League!

Alexander: Former Town Player is Lincoln Legend!
The bravehearts of the league sadly bowed out of the Play Off Final for the second time in 3 years. Lincoln City, who took the crown of Grimsby as the countys strongest side failed to score in the game at the Millenium Stadium.

Southend United won the game 2-0 with two goals in extra time after neither club could break the dead lock in normal time. Lincoln who featured former players Keith Alexander, who is the clubs manager and former reserve defender Matty Bloomer, could not hide there feelings at the end.

In my eyes there is no team in this league who deserves a bit of success than Lincoln. Last season former Mariner Iffy Onuora scored an important goal for Huddersfield as they narrowly defeated Lincoln 4-2 after both semi final legs. The season before Lincoln destroyed minnows Scunthorpe United 5-3 at Sincil Bank thanks to a Simon Yeo(Super Sub) brace, and that was followed up by a 1-0 win at Glanford Park, with the ever impressive Yeo on ther scoresheet.

Lincoln were destroyed themselves in the final going down 5-2 that year to AFC Bournemouth.
