Wimbledon boss Stuart Murdoch was told by the clubs adminstrator's to withdraw the striker from the squad for the game against Crewe at the weekend, for fear of injury ruining any deal.

"I was told I couldn't play Patrick on Saturday as the administrator didn't want him to get injured in case it jeopardised the move," Murdoch told Sky Sports News.

"Patrick's gone down for talks today (Monday - at Gillingham) and it will be down to him. I don't want him to go of course but I understand the financial situation and he has to make a decision of what's best for his career."

Boulding is on the hitlist of Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler although it is not known if he will be allowed to sign both Boulding AND Agyemang.

Meanwhile Sheffield United have completed the signing of Gills midfielder Paul Shaw for a fee of £70,000.

The move will increase speculation that Alan Pouton is set to move south to Priestfield.
