Jones: New signing to make home debut from start?
Tom Newey twisted a foot against Lincoln on sunday and joins Justin Whittle(head injury) on the sidelines. It is unsure whether current trialists Stu Edwards, Karl Colley, Sam Ipoua and Alan Navarro will be involved after manager Russell Slade commented the only new player will be a left wing back. Also the club have decided not to follow up any intrest in former Luton defender Ian Hillier, after 1 trial game. It is also rumoured that latest signing Gary Jones may start, so that could relegate Martin Gritton to the bench. Today it was announced that Mariners hero Gary Croft will be added to the team, as he attempts to impress Russell Slade enough to get a contract for the new season.

Blackburn Rovers are to bring there strongest side, and could give a debut to Craig Bellamy. Former Grimsby centre back Andy Todd is likely to play against his former club
