Reynolds has accused an agent, working on the behalf of Town, of making an illegal approach for Kerr.

Speaking to the Scarborough Evening News Reynolds fumed: "This sort of behaviour is just not on, it is a blatant attempt to disturb Scott.
"We are making him club captain and neither he nor us needs this sort of thing as we prepare for next season.
"I am really appalled – it has caused so much ill-feeling at the club. I'm not sure if we will be following things up because the damage has already been done now."

Relations between the clubs have been rosy in recent weeks, following the appointment of Russell Slade as Town boss and the arrangement of a pre-season friendly at the McCain Stadium.
