Former Town hero Michael Boulding left Barnsley today, 13 months after joining the side from Grimsby Town in a swap deal for Isaiah Rankin.

Cardiff gaffer Lennie Lawrence, signed Boulding on a free transfer back in 2001 from Mansfield, when he was the manager here at Grimsby. The gem of a striker is hot property and on his day can punch his weight in any division.

After enjoying two spells at the club over the run of 3 seasons, Boulding was one of the more recognisable and favourite strikers of the Town faithful within the past 10 or 15 years.
