Last week it was revealed the Dutchman was to return home for personal reasons. Cas then launched a venomous attack on player-manager Paul Groves and the club in general.

However Cas refused to sign away the remaining 18 months on his contract until he sorted himself out with another job back home, despite asking for the club to terminate the contract.

The right winger will now join Dutch outfit Rosenburg in time for the season restart on Saturday.

Speaking to Mariners Net Cas bid farewell to the fans.

"Thanks for your support and all the best to the fans and the players for the future. It's been a short time here but I have enjoyed it," he said.
