The utility man moved to the South Lincolnshire outfit last summer after he wasn't offered a new contract by Paul Groves, a move that baffled many considering Chapman had impressed in his first team apperances.

Since his move to York Street, Chapman has made the leftback slot his own as well as winning the captains armband.

Whilst his recent absence is down to injury, rumours are rife that Chapman has fallen out with manager Neil Thompson and was subsequently placed on the transfer list.

Thompson, however, argued that this is not the case at all.

"It beggars belief this is doing the rounds and there is absolutely no truth behind it," an irate Thompson said. "I can't stop people speculating but I want to put an end to this rubbish.
