Cohen: First Signing For Town!

Former Scarborough striker Gary Cohen has joined Grimsby Town on a year long loan from Scottish sister club Gretna FC. Cohen was sold by Russell Slade to Gretna when he was Scarborough manager, and told the official website that he is very, very quick and that he has been monitoring his progress for a long time.

Cohen was farmed out on loan last season to non-league Workington Town where he netted over 20 goals to secure them promotion to the Conference South division.

Some Town fans have reacted badly over Town's first signing for the new season, however Cohen has not shown what he can do yet, and is told by Gretna and Workington fans to be a diamond up front. "We have all seen the exploits of non league veteran Simon Yeo at Lincoln City, so why not give him a go" said one Town fan.
