Coyne moves to Burnley

With the Foxes suffering relegation from the Premier League last season, the prospect of a high earning second choice stopper was not one they wished to accommodate.

Earlier this week Mickey Adams signed former Sheffield Wednesday stopper Kevin Pressman, paving the way for Coyne's long touted move to the Clarets.

The Welsh international will cost Steve Cotterill's outfit a measly £25,000, with Coyne putting pen-to-paper on a three-year contract.

30-year-old Coyne will relish the chance of regular first team football again after a season on the bench at Leicester where he failed to remove Ian Walker from between the sticks, despite Walker dropping clanger after clanger.

Coyne only made two starts for the Foxes, coming off the bench three times. He did however finish the season with better international prospects, now the likely No 1 choice for Mark Hughes.
