Gordon in Action!
Former Mariners left back Dean Gordon quit a trial period at League Two club Darlington for the sun, sand and UEFA Champions League football of Apoel Nicosia.

Apoel who are the current holders of the Cypriot Premier Division are to play in the qualifying stage next season of the Champions League and with Dean Gordon and former Middlesbrough team mate Hamilton Ricard, the minnows from Cyprus may stand a slight chance of qualifying for the group stage for the first time in a long while.

Fomrer Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest player Chris-Bart Williams is also on the books at Apoel and former Mariner Bradley Allen was linked with a switch there back in 2002, but chose a short spell with Peterborough United over a sunny break in the Cypriot holiday resort.

All at the club will wish Deano the best of luck in Cyprus!!!
