Down to the bare bones and nowhere to turn

Striker Lee Thorpe's loan spell is now up and with the player picking up an ankle injury in the defeat at Wrexham, it's unsure if a permanent deal will be thrashed out.

Isaiah Rankin is another who's loan date is up soon, March 20, but the Barnsley striker is out with an ankle injury anyway.

Craig Armstrong picked up a nasty knock at Wrexham and he is a major doubt for the Bournemouth game.

Nick Daws has just one more game left with Town after a staggered 3 month loan. Law will be unable to extend the loan further and is likely to send the ex-Bury man back to Rotherham.

With injury and suspension already rife through the squad, Law has just 2 loans to play with to patch his squad up. It is thought that the prospect of signing players on short term contracts until the end of the season is one avenue the club are exploring.
