Ex Mariner Given Caretaker Rovers Role

Trollope: 33 Year old ex Mariner is Gas part time gaffer!

Former Grimsby Town midfielder Paul Trollope has been given the green light to manage Bristol Rovers on a short term basis until the club appoint a permanent manager.

Trollope made 6 starts for Grimsby, and 1 sub apperances, scoring just the 1 goal in a 2 month loan spell from Derby County in the 1996/1997 season. Trollope is now the Player/Caretaker Manager at Bristol Rovers following the sacking of Ian Atkins.

The 33 year old joined Bristol Rovers back in June 2004 on a free transfer from Northampton Town.
