Ford out but Disco could be back for Owls

Ford has struggled all week after picking up a groin strain against Chesterfield last weekend.

With the youngster missing, Mike Edwards is almost certain to get his first start at centre back for Town, his only other start came at left back in the 1-1 draw with Peterborough.

Hamilton has not played for Town since the 3-1 win over Wycombe, almost a month ago.  Suspension and the injury have kept him out the midfield, which in recent weeks has looked bare.   The emergence of Graham Hockless and loan signing of Nick Daws has added more options though.  The former Newcastle man will be very fortunate to find himself in the starting eleven.

Paul Groves spoke to BBC Radio Humberside about Ford and Hamilton.

"Simon picked up an injury in the game there and he won't be available for the weekend. He's tweaked he's hamstring.

"Des though has manage to train today [Thursday] for the first time and he's been building himself up.

"We'll see how he is after today [Thursday] and how he feels in the morning and then we'll make a decision from there.""
