Gary Croft: In Action back in 1995/1996 Season!
Veteran left back Gary Croft is rumoured now to be the last piece in the jigsaw. Manager Russell Slade has mentioned he wants a left wing back to finish his squad of 19+4 youngsters. Croft will be a welcome addition to the Blundell Park setup as the 31 year old had a succesful spell at Grimsby in the early nineties.

The Stafford born defender joined Town in 1992, graduating from the youth ranks, he went on to make 169 apperances, scoring 4 goals before moving to Premiership side Blackburn Rovers in March 1996. Gary moved on to Ipswich in 1999 for £540,000 and also went on to play for Wigan Athletic on loan, before playing out the past 3 seasons with Cardiff City before being released at the end of last season.

Croft will be going straight into the team tonight to play against his former club Blackburn Rovers.
