Match repot from Monday night's defeat.

Many Mariners fans will be disappointed with the result on Monday night however the Millers outclassed Grimsby and were the better of the two teams and fully deserved to win. The Millers took the lead on the stroke of half time when a good ball from Bopp found Williamson inside the penalty area and put the Millers ahead.

The Mariners were almost level in the 48th minute when a corner was headed out to Whittle whose shot bounced back off the bar.
Rotherham doubled their lead in the 68th minute when Facey delivered a deep cross from the left for Scott Wiseman to knock it back and Bopp struck a good header to score the Millers second of the night.

Next up for the Mariners is Leeds United and with the club operating a "Kids go free" scheme there should be a good turnout.
