Reddy: Took Goal Well!
Grimsby Town took the lead but failed to win against Championship side Leeds United on tuesday evening. Michael Reddy ran clear of Clarke Carlisle to put Town into a 1-0 lead after 10 minutes. However after good attacking play Frazer Richardson soon equalised for United towards the end of the first half.

Town started with Steve Mildenhall in goal, Tony Crane, Simon Ramsden, Rob Jones and Tom Newey in defence, with Gary Cohen, Jean-Paul Kamudimba, Paul Bolland and Andy Parkinson in midfield and Michael Reddy and Martin Gritton in attack. Both teams saw decent chances and at times played very attractive football, New boy Jean-Paul Kamudimba look decent in midfield, getting stook in and passing the ball around well, Rob Jones and Tony Crane looked solid at the back, and Tom Newey was very good at left back.

Town used an erray for subs, who were not even named on the teamsheet nor on the official website. Cameroonian trialist Samuel Ipoua,  was brought on for Reddy and Jermaine Palmer came on for Gritton. Alan Lamb, Paul Ashton, Cameron Pino, Terry Barwick, Nick Heggarty and Karl Colley were all used aswell. Ciaran Toner was sidelined through injury so he was not involved, however new trialist Alan Navarro, formely of Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers was an un-used sub. Justin Whittle was also not involved.
