Jean-Paul: Fantastic effort, even better assist.
The Mariners came from behind to draw 1-1 with League One opposition this evening. Steve Mildenhall, the new number 1 made his debut after being sidelined through injury for 2 weeks. He replaced trialist keeper Wayne Brown who has now left after failing to earn a contract.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Luton Town right back Ian Hillier joined the club on trial and filled in for John McDermott who is injured. Justin Whittle started his first game of the season and replaced Simon Ramsden who was not involved. Martin Gritton was dropped to the bench and was replaced by Gary Cohen. Also youth team player Paul Wilkinson, Barrow FC trialist Karl Colley and French trialist Pino, were all given a place on the bench.

Rotherham took the lead in the first half, and reasonably controlled the first 45 minutes of the game. In the second half Whittle and Toner both picked up knocks and were replaced by Colley and Pino. Also Cohen was replaced by Gritton. Town managed to get back into the game when debutant Jean-Paul Kamudimba hit a fierce shot which cannoned of the post and straight to Gritton, who could't miss.

John Lukic came on for his debut in between the sticks and replaced Steve Mildenhall. Thoughts will now turn to tuesday's clash with Leeds United.
