Groves confident of replay success

"We were 2-0 down at half-time and were booed off. But we showed good character to come back," said the Mariners player-boss.

"We got the bit between our teeth and showed great determination. We had a never-say-die attitude."

Groves paid tribute to teenage striker Mansaram who grabbed the late equaliser three minutes from time at Blundell Park.

"He has got some strike on him and when he scored it gave him a big lift. He stuck his chest out and caused them problems."

And Groves feels the sides away form this season could see them go through to the fourth round with success at Turf Moor in the replay.

"We have won as many games away from home as we have at home so we do fancy it," he said.
