Groves happy with a point

Town had the lions share of play in the first half but gave too much of the play to Barnsley in the second half.

Groves was satisfied with a point, which most would have settled for beforehand. Speaking to Mariners Net, Groves pointed out the number of saves Sasa Ilic made compared to Aidan Davison.

"In the first half we've created four or five good chances when their goalkeeper's had to make saves. I think we should have gone in in front, and I don't think our goalkeeper's had too many saves to make throughout the game," Groves said.

Asked the inevitable question about Tony Gallimore's penalty, Groves replied: "I think their manager made Tony come up and take it. You can see his thought process behind that, but it's whether the player is confident taking it.
"Tony and Aidan will know each other quite well. Tony will know that he will have to put something behind it to get it past him. Tony has taken them before, he has taken them with Grimsby and with Stoke, so he's experienced and not a newcomer to this situation."
