Groves says no to changes

Whilst the general outcry following the 1-0 defeat has been that changes must be made, Groves is vowing to stick with the eleven that started against Brian Little's men.

"I'm not happy with the performance," he told the Grimsby Telegraph. "I can't fault their effort. They worked hard but I want to see us get the ball down and create more chances," said the manager.

"It was always going to be a tight game and the conditions made it a gritty, scrappy performance.

"I won't be making big changes. It's not as if we've played so poorly that we have to look at changing it.

"There was an opportunity there to build on that result at Brentford and get ourselves into a better position in the league. That was wasted.

"We should have come out of the game with something. There hasn't been a spell where we've been in trouble and we need to take something from these games."

Little spoke few words after the game but admitted he was delighted with three points.

He said: "We came for a draw and anything else after that was a bonus. They (Grimsby) will be disappointed they did not get something from the game."

Called a gameplan, isn't it?
