Cas should sign his release forms this week, despite his threat yesterday of only signing them when he's sorted himself out.

The wages that will be freed, thought to be around £1,000 a week, will hopefully go towards bringing a new face into the squad. Rotherham midfielder Nicky Daws after his impressive loan spell last year.

However Groves admits he is not sure if he'll get any extra funds.

"At this moment we'll have to wait and see. It hasn't been discussed yet," Groves told the Grimsby Telegraph.

Groves also refused to comment on Cas' outburst in which he slammed the manager.

"I don't want to get into tittle-tattle," Groves added. I haven't done it before and I won't do it now. There will be a club statement and I won't say any more."
