Groves: We should have won

Speaking to Mariners Net after the game, Groves pointed to his experienced professionals for their performances but overall felt two points were dropped.

"I felt it was a good solid performance by a group of men there today - and that made a big difference," he said.
"I think that is possibly one of the strongest sides we've been able to field. With all due respect to the young lads, the experienced lads that went in today have done a good job, passed the ball well, created chances.
"I think we deserved to nick it. It was fairly tight, but I think we certainly had more of the half chances during the game. Aidan made a good save during the first-half when the lad has got clean through, but I felt that we've had enough half chances there to take more than one point from the game."

Groves also added that the loss of Marcel Cas knocked the wind out of Town.

"I think Marcel was taking the game to them and he was causing them problems, and they had to make a change very early. When he came off we lost that little bit of impetus a little."
