Hockless came on as 62nd minute substitute for Chris Bolder and in many eyes changed the game for Town.

His almost arrogant manner on the ball gave Town some much needed confidence in going forward. Before his introduction, Town seemed afraid of passing along the floor and taking any risks.

Bouding - Full of praise
Hockless, who arrived at Town two summers ago after he was released by Hull, now has the taste for more action.

"I have had a taste of it, now I want to get a regular place," he told the Grimsby Telegraph.

"I feel I am ready for the step up. I am going to try and improve myself and do well if I am given another chance."

The left footers only other apperance came during last seasons away fixture at Reading. Town were already relegated and Paul Groves experimented with several youngsters in the 2-1 defeat.

Saturday's scorer Michael Boulding was full of praise for his young team-mate.

"I thought Graham was outstanding and changed the game for us in the second half."
