Injury crisis for Colchester journey

A worrying six first teamers are doubts for the game leaving caretaker boss Graham Rodger with a selection headache.

Stacy Coldicott (groin), Jason Crowe (hamstring), Darren Barnard (ankle), Lee Thorpe (calf), Iain Anderson (calf) and Simon Ford (dead leg) all have question marks over their availability for Saturday's game.

Ford is the least likely of the six to miss out, whilst Jason Crowe is almost certain to miss out after limping out of the Bristol City game.

Rodger will have to promote some of the less experienced squad memebers into the party heading down south. The likes of Graham Hockless, David Soames and Greg Young are more than likely to feature in the 16 yet again, if not the eleven unless recoveries are made. Mike Edwards is almost certain to start with Crowe out and Ford a doubt.
