Jevvo future set to be sorted

Jevons future looked uncertain after he felt the wrath of Peter Furneaux in the summer and was told he wouldn't play again.

Furneaux has since allowed manager Paul Groves to negotiate the deal, with better results.

Jevons - Answer to striker problems?
Jevons praised the manager for keeping it one-on-one and said he is close to resigning.

"Fingers crossed it'll all be sorted out by the end of the week," He told BBC Radio Humberside.

"To be fair, Grovesey been brilliant. He's been really supportive throughout it all.

"It's been mainly between me and him.

"It's not as if there's people going off and doing their own thing and coming up with different figures.

"I've got no doubts it can be sorted out."

Whilst Jevons contract may be sorted for now, his chances of first team football are not as clear. Groves has hinted in the past that he doesn't view Jevons as first team material, meaning the player may be sitting in the stands.
