The striker/winger has had an eventuful three years with Town. His first season saw him struggle to make an impact before sitting on the sidelines for a large spell injured.

His second season was spent on loan at Hull City, where he struggled to impress Peter Taylor after he replaced Jan Molby, who took Jevons to the Tigers.

Upon returning to Town, Jevons was met with a verbal war of words by chairman Peter Furneaux. Furneaux slammed Jevons' attitude and banned him from playing for the first team until he took a paycut.

Jevons took the cut but it still took longer than hoped to make his first team return. When he did he scored in the FA Cup defeat to Peterborough and kept his place, however on the left wing.

Out wide Jevons found his best form. Individual performances against Oldham, Luton and Barnsley stood out a mile as the former Everton trainee started to live up to his promise.

The appointment of Nicky Law saw Jevons' form dip and towards the end of the season he became the target for the fans frustrations.

At his peak last season, Jevons was linked with Leicester. Three weeks ago Kidderminster were leading the chase for him. Now Yeovil boss Gary Johnson has won the race.

During his three years with Town, 'Jevvo' made 70 appearances, 17 as substitute, scoring 21 goals.

The 24-year-old has signed a two-year contract at Husih Park and was clearly delighted.

" I’m delighted and I’m really excited about joining Yeovil Town.

"The potential of the club is huge and I’m really impressed with what Gary Johnson and the Chairman are trying to do down there. I am going to move down with my girlfriend as soon as possible.

"We will try and get everything sorted up here before we do move and then I’m going away for a week to Portugal to watch the football. I might meet up with Gary Johnson while I am over there."
