Town have released 3 youngsters from there time at Grimsby. Chris Hyam, Joe Lightowler and Liam Parker have all been rejected a professional contract and have departed the club.

Lightowler who turned down Aston Villa and Manchester United to sign for Grimsby as a schoolboy has joined Bridlington Town along with Chris Hyam who has been at the club for a number of years now.

Liam Parker, who is younger brother of former defender Wes Parker is linked with a move to join his big brother and former striker Jonny Rowan at Conference North side Gainsborough Trinity.

Parker spent a month on loan at Trinity from Grimsby Youth's earlier in the season but never made an apperance, also former YT player Paul Huckett has signed a short term deal with Gainsborough.
