Gritton:The Good!
A combination of good play from subs Thomas Pinault and Andy Parkinson resulted in a Martin Gritton goal last night as Town got one over Chester City at Blundell Park.

The Mariners struggled in the first half to get a grip on the game and did not play as well as expected. Chester came closest with former player Ashley Sestanovich hitting over the bar.

The Mariners fans all night attacked Sestanovich with gestures and boooooos, but however the former Mariner bad boy did not looked phased by the un-friendly atmosphere and played just as bad as he did in the last few weeks of his Town career.

In the 81st minute Martin Gritton netted and Town fans sighed a huge relief, attentions will turn to saturday when The Mariners entertain leaders Yeovil Town and former player Phil Jevons.

John McDermott  looks set to miss out on the game against The Glovers.

Graham Hockless may keep his place in the starting 11 despite a good sub apperance from regular Thomas Pinault.

Former Yeovil striker Adrian Caceres could be involved for Grimsby, if the rumours are true and as expected the player signs this week.
