Nervy Performance says Groves

The Mariners escaped with a fortunate point against a far more positive Peterborough side.

Michael Boulding's late equalizer spared the blushes but with the table taking shape, Town are in danger of getting left behind.

Paul Groves
Groves conceded that the performance was an ugly one but praised his players for snatching an unlikley point late on.

"It obviously wasn't pretty today, a very disjointed performance from ourselves - especially in the first half," he told Mariners Net.
"We looked nervy and edgy in the first half and we couldn't pass the ball, and we created ourselves our own problems.

"Second half I thought we had a little bit more of a go at them and I think we managed to pen them back a bit.

"To be fair to the players, they dug in there, they kept the game within reach and we managed to get a point out of it.

"I think when you look at the game it's possibly two points lost because we're at home, but when you look at the overall ninety minutes, I think that it's a point gained."
