Oster for Grimsby!
Former Grimsby Town midfielder John Oster has signed for Burnley following his release from Sunderland.

Oster who played for the Town from 1994 to 1997 and then again on loan in 2002/2003 has worked his name into being a legend at Blundell Park despite only playing around 30 games in all for Town.

Mariners fans were hoping Oster may return on a short term deal which would give the Town the extra drive it needs in midfield, however a short trial period was succesful and the Welsh International signed till the end of the season at high flying Championship side Burnley.

Oster was released by Sunderland for causing trouble whilst out in a night club in Durham, which he was arrested for fighting. He also was involved in a seperate incident while on loan at Leeds United where he was also arrested for trouble at the clubs christmas party along with Australian winger Jamie McMaster.
