Peacock had made seven substitute appearances for the Robins and, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, he has opted for regular first-team football at Blundell Park.
His deal with the Mariners runs until the end of next season but his primary focus will be on helping the club close the six-point gap that exists between themselves and safety at the foot of League Two.
