Michael Reddy has been given the green light to commence full training following an injury that has seen him out for the majortiy of the current season.

Reddy signed for Grimsby Town in July 2004 on a free transfer from Sunderland, and after a slow start he was quite simply awesome last term winning himself a place in the PFA League Two Team Of The Year.

The Irishman slapped in a transfer request 1 week before the new season, after intrest was shown from Sheffield United, Leeds United and Bristol City. This caused as expected a torrent of abuse from Grimsby fans, who booed his name at games when read out over the tannoy.

The once fans favourate is now growing to be a hate figure at Blundell Park and seems to of adapted an "I'm too big for this club" attitude, some fans have likened him to Nicolas Anelka off the field, and some of said " He aint going far quicky, he is a young lad and he has had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus"

Manager Alan Buckley has had a lengthy chat with the striker, and is keen to send Reddy on his way to ease up some cash for some new signings, despite admitting his peformance in training has been impressive.
