Rodger - In the clear
Rodger was accused of headbutting Stoke manager Tony Pullis in the 2-0 victory over the Potters in February.

Rodger and Paul Wilkinson were in fact involved in a heated exchange with Pullis and Stoke substitute 'keeper Neil Cutler after Chris Thompson was floored by a high challenge from Wayne Thomas.

Rodger was sent off by match referee Clive Wilkes who claimed he saw Rodger headbutt Pullis. Two police officers later claimed no such thing happened and would have arrested Rodger had he attacked Pullis in that manner. Pullis also backed Rodger's claim and promised to back him in front of the FA if required.

With a strong case behind him, it was always unlikely that Rodger would receive anything other than a full clearance from the FA.

Try watching next time, Mr Wilkes!
