Hockless: A gigantic waste of talent!
Graham Hockless has sadly joined non league side North Ferriby United, which will leave a sour taste in the mouth of every Grimsby fan. Hockless signed from Hull City youths at the start of the 2001/2002 season and by Ocotber 2003 was the brightest spark at the club.

Hocko's ability to cross, dribble, pass and shoot made him the favourate amongst fans and the player looked either like moving to a bigger club or being the engine in moving the club back to League One.

That until the appointment of Russell Slade. The gaffer convinced Hockless to sign a new 1 year contract and turned a blind eye from teams such as Hull City and Sheffield United. Oddly Hocko did not feature that much and was shockingly sent to Leigh RMI on loan at the fans disbelief, he grabbed every chance he got, but there was not many of them. By the end of last season Hockless was not even a contender for a new contract, and after failing to earn a contract playing in Australia, he has dropped down to amateur side North Ferriby United.

This has got to be the biggest waste of talent I have ever seen in my life, Russell Slade should personally pay this man compensation after destroying a seemingly decent career in the professional game. No fan will be able to believe that Hockless a year ago was thinking of leaving the club for a bigger club and much more money at his former club at the K.C Stadium, now he has been destroyed and left to rot by Slade, and now faces a distraught torrid time playing for Hull's local non league minnow neighbours.

Good luck to Graham Hockless, thanks for the dazzling displays, the loyalty. It has been a pleasure watching you.
