Slade blames decisions

The 1-0 defeat saw the unbeaten home record go out the window and leaves Town playing chase up with the leading pack.

The result left Slade rueing a host of missed chances.

"You can't question the commitment and work ethic of this side - we were still creating chances late in the game after going behind - but you can question the decision-making," he told MarinersNet.
"Jason Crowe would have scored if he had headed the ball instead of chesting it, John McDermott should have shot when he had the chance and Andy Parkinson should have gone down in the penalty area. The referee was waiting with his whistle in his mouth when he was tripped but he stayed on his feet. It's those sort of professional decisions that players must get right."

Slade also admitted that captain Justin Whittle was to blame for the goal after he allowed Grant Holt to escape into a one-on-one situation.

"Justin Whittle is a good player and shouldn't have been rolled like that."
