Young:Halifax Bound!!!
Mariners left back Greg Young is expected to join Halifax Town today. Young who joined 2 years ago from Sheffield Wednesday, made a name for himself last season when he niggled his way into the team.

Young is a solid player and rarely has had a bad game. He is a confident strong player and is not easily distracted. However despite being given the number 3 shirt this season, Greg has rarely been involved and earlier in the campaign he was loaned to Northwich Victoria.

This news brings in confirmation that the club are looking to sign a defender and possibly also a new midfielder, now that Greg will join fellow ex-Mariner Darren Mansaram at The Shay.

In a statement on the official website manager Russell Slade said "It looks like Greg Young is going to sign for Halifax. I don`t want to get in his way. I would like to wish Greg all the best if he does leave us. Hopefully it does comes off for him, and hopefully that would allow me to strengthen my own squad-perhaps in a different area though"

All at Grimsby Town MAD would also like to wish Greg Young the best of look in the future!!!
