Youngsters offered new deals

With Football League rules stating players under 24 must be offered new deals by the 15th of May, should they wish to retain or be entitled to compensation - Town have made their offers, keen to avoid the Danny Butterfield fiasco of two seasons ago.

The following have been offered new deals: Graham Hockless, David Soames, Darren Mansaram, Jonathan Rowan, Kirk Wheeler, Greg Young and Ashley Hildred.

Gio Carchedi has been given a month-to-month contract after his horific leg injury last season.

The biggest doubt of those names will be Graham Hockless. The 22-year-old is heavily rumoured to have agreed terms with Doncaster Rovers without signing a contract.
