Mildenhall: Man Of The Match
Grimsby fans were in good voice today as just as many Town fans came to the game as there opponents, who were suposed to be at home. Just over 4000 Town fans and Inbreadonians turned up for the encounter which will leave many Grimsby fans disappointed.

Town rested Andy Parkinson and Gary Jones from the team that beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 last tuesday, and in came Tom Newey and Martin Gritton. Ciaran Toner was dropped of the bench and was replaced by centre back Tony Crane.

The Grimsby support was quite honestly awesome with the fans cheering non stop through out the 90th minutes and with Boston being one of the rare clubs who do not chant, it was a good thing that Grimsby brought there voices to York Street.

Martin Gritton had a goal disallowed in the first few minutes for offside, but it was only a few minutes later that Boston's Austin McCann fouled Michael Reddy and a penalty was given. McCann was dismissed and cup hero Jean-Paul Kamudimba Kalala netted to give the League leaders the lead.

The chant "WE'RE GUNA WIN 10-0" was short lived as Boston looked more and more dangerous with 10 men, as The Mariners were at times pushed back, Premiership reject Julian Joachim looked good, however his strike partner Noel Whelan looked like a lathargic donkey.

In the second half Boston started brightly and created a few decent chances,
Jones, was solid as ever!
notably Mildenhall saving well from Maylett. Town also had there chances with Martin Gritton, Michael Reddy and Paul Bolland going close, Gary Cohen, Justin Whittle and Rob Jones all had un-succesful attempts to breakdown Boston.

Mildenhall was called into action to palm away a Boston free kick as The Pilgrims threatend to embarras Grimsby by scoring. Gary Croft was replaced by Andy Parkinson and The Mariners winger took no time in creating an effort for Reddy, which was eventually cleared. Parkinson saw a 18 yard shot float onto the cross bar and out late on, but no one could even think what was going to happen next. In the 90th minute ex Leeds burnout Joachim struck to level the scoring to the disappointment of the fair share of the crowd.

Town poured forward in the last two minutes and Michael Reddy's free kick was sent through early to Paul Bolland, but despite being one on one with Boston keeper Abbey, he could not slot home from an awkward angle, and as soon as the ball was turned round the post, the whistle went.

Parkinson: Hit The Cross Bar!
And you would of thought Boston had lifted the FA Cup, because a completely silent home crowd suddenly turned into madness, and finally after the end of the game a small group of 10 broke into chanting. To be fair Boston earned there point and matched Grimsby through the 90, however the disappointing factor is the club are more than capable of beating a side like Boston. No disrespect to them but they are probably the worst team I have seen so far this season, and in this game Grimsby made them look like a Premiership team.

The small tin pot ground which looked like a disused warehouse from the outside is long due its time, and its obvious this club is of a Non League background, no offence to Boston what so ever and I do not want to take anything away from the club but the ground is long due its demolition.

Fairplay to everyone today a good trip out, disppointing score but a fair score line.
